If you ship packages regularly, you already know how quickly the cost of boxes, padded envelopes, and poly mailers can add up. Here’s a shipping freebie that many online sellers may not know about: you can get free USPS Ground Advantage boxes and mailers delivered to your home.
There is one catch: you need to sign up for a Poshmark account.
Poshmark has partnered with USPS to provide complimentary Ground Advantage shipping supplies to Poshmark sellers. The program includes boxes and mailers that can be ordered directly through the Poshmark app.
And here’s something interesting about the boxes: they don’t say Poshmark on them. They look like USPS Ground Advantage shipping supplies rather than Poshmark-branded packaging.
Why Is Poshmark Giving Away Free Ground Advantage Boxes?
Poshmark moved its U.S. shipping service to USPS Ground Advantage. As part of its arrangement with USPS, Poshmark sellers gained access to special free Ground Advantage packaging.
Unlike the familiar free Priority Mail boxes you may have seen at the post office, these supplies are designed for Ground Advantage shipments.
Even better, you don’t have to pay for the packaging or delivery.
Step 1: Sign Up for a Poshmark Account
First, you’ll need a Poshmark account.
Sign up for a Poshmark account here.
If you don’t currently sell on Poshmark, creating an account also gives you the option to list clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods, electronics, collectibles, and other items you no longer need.
Once your account is set up, you can access Poshmark’s seller tools.
Step 2: Open the Poshmark App
The free USPS shipping supply request is available through Poshmark’s seller tools.
In the Poshmark app, go to:
Account Tab → My Seller Tools → Request USPS Supplies
From there, you’ll be able to see the Ground Advantage packaging options available to you.
Step 3: Choose Your Free Shipping Supplies
Select the type of boxes or mailers you need and choose your desired quantity.
USPS Ground Advantage packaging options can include boxes, poly mailers, and padded mailers, although the exact selection available may change.
After you’ve made your selections, confirm your mailing address and submit the request.
That’s it!
Poshmark sends the order to USPS for fulfillment. Once your supplies ship, you should receive tracking information by email, and you can also check the status of the order through Poshmark.
Do the Free Boxes Say Poshmark on Them?
No. The Ground Advantage boxes I’ve received do not have Poshmark’s name or logo printed on them.
They are USPS Ground Advantage packaging, so someone looking at the box wouldn’t necessarily know that it was ordered through Poshmark.
I’ve also seen reports from other sellers who say they’ve been able to order or purchase the same Ground Advantage boxes through a USPS business account. However, I’ve personally been unable to find that option through USPS.
If USPS makes these boxes more widely available to business customers in the future, that could provide another way to get them without going through Poshmark. For now, the Poshmark seller supply request is the method I’ve been able to find and use.
How Much Do the Ground Advantage Boxes Cost?
They’re free.
There is no charge for the eligible packaging, making this especially helpful for Poshmark sellers who ship orders regularly.
If you’re constantly buying mailers and shipping boxes, taking advantage of free shipping supplies can trim a little more overhead from your reselling business.
Can You Order More Than Once?
Yes, but Poshmark currently allows sellers to have one supply order in progress at a time.
Once your current order has been delivered, you can submit another request.
So if you sell regularly, it may be worth keeping an eye on your packaging inventory and placing your next order before you completely run out.
Can You Get the Boxes Without a Poshmark Account?
The special free USPS Ground Advantage packaging program is available through Poshmark’s seller tools, so you’ll need a Poshmark account to use this ordering method.
As mentioned above, some sellers have reported finding the same or similar Ground Advantage boxes through USPS business accounts. I haven’t been able to locate that ordering option myself, so I can’t confirm whether it’s available to all USPS business customers.

Important: Poshmark Says These Supplies Are for Poshmark Shipments
There’s an important restriction to know before you start ordering boxes.
According to Poshmark, its complimentary USPS Ground Advantage packaging is exclusively for Poshmark orders.
So while the boxes themselves aren’t Poshmark branded, Poshmark states that the free supplies ordered through its program are intended for shipping Poshmark sales.
If you sell on several marketplaces, you can continue saving and reusing regular unbranded shipping boxes for your other orders.
Don’t Use Priority Mail Boxes for Poshmark Ground Advantage Orders
Another important change for sellers is that you shouldn’t use free USPS Priority Mail packaging for current Poshmark Ground Advantage shipments.
If you’re a longtime Poshmark seller, this can be confusing because Poshmark previously allowed sellers to use certain USPS Priority Mail supplies.
That’s no longer the case.
Use the Ground Advantage packaging provided through Poshmark or your own plain packaging instead.
Other Ways to Find Free Shipping Boxes
If you sell on several marketplaces, such as Whatnot, don’t stop with Poshmark’s free supplies. There are plenty of ways to build up a stash of regular shipping boxes without buying them.
Ask friends and family to save their online shopping boxes for you, reuse boxes from your own deliveries, and check with local stores for clean boxes they’re planning to recycle. Neighborhood Buy Nothing groups can also be a gold mine for boxes and packing materials.
Just remember to remove or completely cover old shipping labels, addresses, and barcodes before reusing a box.
Free Boxes = More Profit for Resellers
Shipping supplies might seem like a small expense until you’re sending dozens or hundreds of packages every month. A dollar here for a box and 50 cents there for a mailer quietly nibbles away at your profits.
If you’re already selling on Poshmark, there’s little reason to pay for eligible Ground Advantage packaging when you can request it for free.
And if you’ve been thinking about trying Poshmark, the free shipping supplies are one more perk to consider.
Once you’ve created your account, open the app and head to My Seller Tools → Request USPS Supplies to see which free Ground Advantage boxes and mailers are currently available.
