Amazon Bin Stores: What They Are And Where To Find One

disclosure

Amazon bin stores are a hot trend lately for bargain seekers and resellers alike.  We are here to tell you exactly what they are and where to find an Amazon bin store near you.

What is an Amazon bin store?

When you walk into an Amazon bin store, you’ll see a bunch of giant wooden or plastic bins filled to the brim with liquidation items. The bins are part of the appeal because it’s a thrilling bargain hunt to dig through the deals.

The liquidation items in the bins include Amazon returns from FBA sellers and third-party marketplace resellers as well as overstock from other major retailers. The items can be electronics, health and beauty products, clothing, toys, home decor or even food. Anything you can think of may show up at one of these stores.

And the best part? These items are being sold for a fraction of the retail price so you can get some great deals. With the inventory (and prices) constantly changing, it’s a new treasure hunt every time you go.

Amazon Bin Store Pricing Structure

These stores are so popular because of their unique pricing system where the prices drop each day. Example below:

Amazon Bin Store Pricing Structure

It typically works like this: The store is closed for a day or two to restock the bins with new items. On the first shopping day, all items have one price (like $8). Then, the next day whatever is leftovers from before has a discounted price at $6. And then, following that same pattern, every item would be priced at $4 on Day 3 and by Day 4 every item would only cost $2. On Day 5, everything would be $1, and then they need to restock again. Of course, the pricing and selection of items varies by store.

A few bin stores, such as the Goodwill bin stores, are going with a “pay by the pound” option with prices ranging from 79¢ to $1.49 per pound.

How do I start an Amazon bin store?

If you’re looking to buy Amazon return pallets to open your own Amazon bin store, enter your email address below for a free liquidation guide with our compliments.

We also have a detailed guide on how to buy Target pallets, which is basically the same process for buying Amazon pallets but this article dives deeper. Once you have your liquidation items, you’ll need a space to sell out of and some sort of “bins”. Decide on if you’re going to use a payment processor or just accept tax, do some marketing, and you’re good to go!

If that all seems overwhelming, you may want to reach out to an existing bin store (use bin store directory above to find one near you), and ask if they offer franchising. If you open a bin store, be sure to contact us to add to our bin store list.
