Places That Sell Discounted Disney Gift Cards
A vacation to Walt Disney World can be a once in a lifetime vacation for many families. It’s can also be a very expensive vacation, too… but it doesn’t have to be. Here are seven of my favorite ways to make your Walt Disney World trip a bit more affordable.
1. AAA
If you are an AAA member, can purchase Disney Gift Cards at your local AAA Branch Office and earn 5% in AAA Dollars.
2. eBay
One of the best places to find discounted Disney gift cards is on eBay. You can often find cards being sold for 5-10% off of their face value, which can add up to some serious savings, especially if you are planning a longer trip or have a larger family. Be sure to check eBay frequently, as the selection of discounted cards tends to change often.
Be sure to read the description and fine print on the Disney gift cards for sale though eBay as some sellers are only selling the card itself with no cash value. So even though the card may say $100, it is not worth anything. If the price seems to good to be true, it probably is.
3. Target RedCard Discounts
If you have a Target RedCard you can also get 5% off of all Disney gift card purchases made in store or online. This discount can be applied to both physical gift cards as well as eGift cards, which can be sent directly to your email inbox and used for purchases made online. If you don’t have a Target RedCard, it is free to sign up!
While Target salvage liquidation stores won’t sell discounted Disney gift cards, they may sell Disney gear at deep discounts so you’re outfitted for your Disney vacation!
4. Discount Gift Card Websites
CardCash.com and Raise.com are two websites where you can buy discounted Disney gift cards. CardCash.com offers Disney gift cards at up to 8% off, and Raise.com offers Disney gift cards at up to 5% off, but these percentages change frequently. To get the best deal, it is recommended that you check both websites to compare prices before making a purchase.
5. Grocery Store Specials
Some grocery store chains offer specials on gift cards. For example, Meijer stores often run a $5 off $50 promotion on gift cards. HyVee offers similar promotions around holidays. Sometimes, it may be a free $10 gift card with $50 gift card purchase. So be sure to watch your local grocery store’s advertisements on gift cards.
6. Membership Clubs
Update! I found discounted Disney eGift Cards on Costco.com! You can get a $250 eGift Card for $224.99 delivered via email. It’s valid at Disney Parks, Resorts and Store Locations in the United States. Limit two per membership, and it says “while supplies last”. If you don’t have a Costco membership yet, get a discounted membership through this link.
Previously, I had personally have not seen any discounted Disney gift cards at Costco, but I’d read that both Sam’s Club and BJ’s Wholesale Club (source) routinely sells them.
So if you have a membership to either of these wholesale discount clubs (or have a friend or family member who does), be sure to check them out!
7. Stack Cashback Discounts
If you want to save even more on Disney gift cards, you can stack cashback discounts by using a cashback credit card and shopping through a cashback portal. For example, if you have a credit card that gives you 1% cash back on all purchases and you shop through a portal that gives you an additional 2% cash back, you will effectively be getting 3% off your purchase. And this is in addition to if you are buying from somewhere already offering a discount on Disney gift cards! This can add up to significant savings, especially if you are buying multiple Disney gift cards.
I recommend the Capital One Quicksilver Rewards card that gives 1.5% cash back on every purchase plus a $200 cash bonus (when you spend $500 within 3 months) just for signing up! I love me some free bank money bonuses.
As far as cashback portals, few offer cashback on gift card purchases, but it doesn’t hurt to try to redeem as reporting through the affiliate networks is not always accurate. Cashback Monitor is a site that monitors the various cashback portals to find the one offering the highest cashback on various stores. At the time of this writing, the biggest cashback percentage is shopping through the iBotta app for 10% cashback (although the fine print does specify that it doesn’t include gift cards).

Tips To Save Money At Disney World
A Disney vacation is a wonderful experience for the whole family, but it doesn’t come cheap. Fortunately, there are ways to save money and still have an amazing time. One way is to buy discounted Disney gift cards before your trip. These cards can be used to pay for almost everything on your trip, from hotels and airfare to meals and souvenirs. So if you’re looking to save money on your next Disney vacation, be sure to pick up some discounted gift cards before you go!
Buy your tickets in advance
If you show up at the gates of The Magic Kingdom or any of the other three theme parks of Walt Disney World, you’re going to pay the top price for your tickets. With a little bit of planning before you go, you can save a significant amount of money.
Check with your local AAA office to see what deals they have on tickets (they will also have discounted tickets for other Orlando area theme parks like Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and SeaWorld). Even if you are not a AAA member, the savings on the tickets often make it worth joining if only to get a discount on the tickets.
And if you’re in the US Military, be sure to check with your local recreation office for any current discounted Walt Disney World ticket offers.
Visit Walt Disney World in the off Season
For the smallest crowds in the theme parks and lowest prices on hotel rooms at Walt Disney World, visit during the off-season. While doing this might be a challenge if you have kids in school, if you can you will save money. Generally the off-season is anytime schools are in session, so try to avoid the summer months and the holiday weeks during the year.
Cut Food Costs by Getting the Disney Dining Plan
The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid dining program that provides for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and one snack. The plans range from quick service only (Disney’s term for their fast-food outlets) to packages that include both quick service and full sit down restaurants, even character breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. And the snacks can be items such as popcorn, drinks, and even a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar!
Book a Walt Disney World Hotel and You Won’t Need a Rental Car
Sure, there are cheaper hotel not actually on Walt Disney World property, but you can often get a room at one of Disney’s value resorts (this is Disney’s term for their budget-friendly on-site hotels). By staying at a hotel on-site, not only will you be closer to the parks but Disney will pick you up from, and return you back to the airport at no charge via the Disney’s Magical Express service. And once at your hotel, you’ll be able to get around Walt Disney World at no charge using the monorails, boats, and buses at no charge.
There are additional benefits that are including in staying at a Walt Disney World hotel such as Extra Magic Hours (early entry or extended hours in the evening to a select park each day) and sometimes, Disney even offers the Disney Dining Plan free as an off-season promotion.
Bring Your Own Food into the Parks
Most people don’t realize Disney will let you bring your own food into the parks. Whether you bring your meals for the entire day, or just snacks this is a great way to cut down on the costs as food in the parks isn’t cheap.
Bring It with You Instead of Buying It
It rains in Florida a lot, and if you’re visiting during the summers months you’re almost guaranteed a daily afternoon rainstorm. So rather than forking out close to $10 for a Disney poncho, head to your local Wal-Mart where you can find them for under a dollar. And the rain ponchos are a great way to stay dry on rides such as Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom and Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Buy Your Walt Disney World Souvenirs at Orlando Area Outlet Malls
There are thousands of stores, kiosks, and vendors selling souvenirs at Walt Disney World. Bud did you know you can get many of the same souvenirs at half off or more? Walt Disney World runs stores at several of the Orlando area outlet malls. These stores are where Disney sells of their overstock and discontinued merchandise at fantastic savings.
There are actually a lot of cheap things to do in Orlando outside of Disney World that guarantee just as much fun.
Conclusion
Planning a trip to Disney World doesn’t have to break the bank. By taking advantage of discounted gift cards, you can save big on your next adventure. Be sure to check eBay and Target for great deals, and keep an eye out for other opportunities to get discounts on larger purchases. With a little bit of planning, you’ll be Disneyland bound in no time!
