Home Depot stores are a go-to place for everything you need to fix up your house. They have tools, appliances, stuff for your yard, floors, lights, grills, and things for your kitchen and bathroom too.
Have you ever wondered what happens to the items that people bring back to Home Depot if they are damaged or just decided that they don’t want or need? These Home Depot return items become “Home Depot Liquidation” that is sold to liquidation brokers who deal in buying and selling stuff like this. Then, these brokers offer these items to resellers and shoppers at prices much, much lower than what they were originally sold for.

Kim’s Home Depot Liquidation Backstory
Most of you already know that I, Kim, love to save money when I shop. Some of you might also know that I run a liquidation business selling discounted items at our liquidation popup sales and also at our liquidation boutique.
You might also know that my husband Ted and I recently built a new house (yep, after swapping homes twice). And to save money on building our new home, I bought some Home Depot liquidation pallets and got some nice cabinets, bathroom faucets, ceiling fans, and lighting on the cheap. I also got some nice light fixtures on a Costco liquidation pallet.
If you look closely, you will notice that the upper and the lower cabinets are not the same style. Also, the upper cabinets were already finished in gray, but the lower cabinet was unfinished. We painted it navy and no one is the wiser.
When you buy a liquidation pallet or truckload, you most likely don’t get to pick out exactly what you want, therefore I bought pallets that I knew had lighting, cabinets, ceiling fans and more. What I didn’t use (or like), we sold on the Marketplace or at one of our liquidation sales.
